MiniMax H3 Model Files and Workflow Compatibility
Find the official model source and understand why H3 workflow files and community add-ons are not interchangeable.
Start with the workflow, not a filename
Select the official text-to-video, image-to-video or reference workflow first. The workflow tells you which checkpoint, encoder, VAE and custom nodes it expects. Files with similar names or precisions are not automatically interchangeable.
Official weights and community files
Use the MiniMax H3 repository for official model artifacts and the Comfy-Org repository for files maintained for ComfyUI workflows. Check each repository’s license, revision and file card. Community LoRAs and upscalers have separate authors and compatibility requirements; do not treat them as official MiniMax weights.
Understand file roles
For the Comfy-Org revision reviewed in the official guide, the documented examples include:

These names come from ComfyUI documentation, not an independent compatibility test. Diffusion checkpoints generate frames, text encoders condition the prompt, and video/audio VAEs handle their respective latent representations. INT8, BF16, FP16, pruned and turbo names describe different formats or builds; choose only the variant documented for your workflow. A latent upscaler is an additional component and may require a particular node package.
The user-provided search list includes many community-specific names. We have not verified each file’s provenance or compatibility, so this page does not recommend those files as official downloads. Use the workflow’s exact filename and repository link.
